Title:Rewriting History, Good Thing Palin Is Around

Barack Obama and his handlers are having a few issues because the surge he and Joe Biden opposed is responsible for the victory we achieved (and a victory Obama has not acknowledged). The so called smartest guys in the country got it wrong and if they had gotten their way we would be discussing a defeat (and Obama would be blaming it on Bush).

Here is an interesting point of view on the surge given to us by Robert Gibbs:

”What is certainly not up for question is that President Obama, then-candidate Obama, said that adding those 20,000 troops into Iraq would, indeed, improve the security situation, and it did.”

This is interesting indeed. First of all, when anyone in this regime says that something is not up for question it means that it is and that they are likely lying. This is a variation of Obama saying “let me be clear” or “I have always said” which are preludes to a lie that follows. It is Obama trying to play Jedi mind tricks on people. It works on the Kool Aid drinkers who lap it up and ask for more. The rest of us can see the lie a mile away.

Or as I like to put it, Stevie Wonder could see it.

While Gibbs thinks it is certainly not up for question the record is different:

“I am not persuaded that 20,000 additional troops in Iraq are going to solve the sectarian violence there. In fact, I think it will do the reverse.”

Obama was clearly not in favor of the surge and he clearly indicated that he was not persuaded that the additional troops would make things better (like improve security) and he clearly stated that he believes it will do the opposite, and create more sectarian violance (and therefore, less security).

Gibbs is playing the game because he has to tell the lies for the Socialist in the White House but the rest of us, those not under the influence of the Force, can see it.

Thanks to Sarah Palin we can all see it in writing. She jumped all over it because she knows Obama is a liar and that he will say or do anything to advance his agenda and to keep from admitting that he backed the wrong horse.

Maybe a trip to Iowa is in order.

Title:Don’t Play Politics With Tragedy, When Its A Lefty

A gunman entered the Discovery Channel building in Maryland and held people hostage for a while. Fortunately the police took the guy out and no one else was hurt. I am thankful that no one was hurt and pray for those affected.

The wacko who did this is obviously mentally ill and he made demands that demonstrated that he was deeply disturbed. He wanted Discovery to run programming telling people to stop having their parasite babies and all kinds of other way out stuff including programming that discussed global warming and how we are hurting the planet. Worried that people might start saying someone like Al Gore must have riled this guy up and caused him to kill, the cheerleaders for the left over at Media Matters Tweeted this:

Discovery Channel hostage-taker is the perpetrator of a crime-not liberal, conservative or a chance to score points

It is understandable that the left’s mouthpieces would make such a statement. You see, they are ALWAYS making these kinds of claims. If someone asks “are you a Muslim” and then assaults the person, well Glenn Beck had to have incited the guy. If some guy flies a plane into the IRS building or an illegal gets the snot beat out of him or a shooter takes out someone the rant from the left is that People like Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, Palin and many others are the ones who caused it by putting ideas in the heads of crazy people.

When the shoe is on the other foot the excuses start to fly. To be certain, those of us on the right have always maintained that crazy people carried out the bad acts and that no talk show host had anything to do with the violence.

But the left does not buy it as people like Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews and Ed Schultz scream about the loudmouth right wing hate mongers who incite violence and they refuse to accept that some people are wackos and do bad things. Of course, these folks barely have an audience but still…

Now that a person who was spouting what was clearly leftist doctrine caused the problems we get a tweet telling us is it a crazy person and we should not be using the events for political gain. I am sure that Olbermann will lead with this and will point out how the left incited the guy.

Or will he try to pass it off as inspired by the right?

I will not blame it on anyone other than the guy who did it. He is at fault and he is responsible. Finally, Media Matters agrees with me. But you can bet they will not feel that way the next time some wacko does something while spouting off his conservative views…

Because Media Matters does not give credence to violence being incited by any person or group:

To combat all of those pesky accusations that the right-wing media has been inciting the fringe to violence, Beck made sure to add this jewel into his monologue: Charleston City Paper

Notice that MM does not say the rumors are false or unfounded. No, it mocks the idea that they are false by calling them pesky. In other words, MM is giving credence to the idea that the right (and Beck in particular) incites violence.

But, but, but, it is just some crazy guy is what we get when there is a hint that a lefty did something bad.

And this my friends is why Media Matters does NOT Matter. It is a left wing rag that fabricates things to advance the progressive Socialist agenda. It is a shill for the Democrat party and it works hard to protect Democrats. It is not to be trusted.

They got it right today but not because they intended to. They got it right protecting their precious Democrats.

Let us keep their Tweet in mind and see how they respond the next time some supposed right winger commits an act of violence.

I am taking bets that MM will blame it on conservative talk…

Title:Reflections From The Mall In DC

Beautiful Child

Let’s be clear up front. The rally on 8-28 was NOT a TEA Party event and it was not a political event. I get tired of the news reporting it as one of these two things (or both).

I was at the Restoring Honor Rally on 8-28. Participating in it was one of the best moments of my life as I met thousands upon thousands of people who were put out in any way imaginable but who remained pleasant and courteous. The lines for the trains were long and the wait time to get on one was nearly 2 hours and this is true for many of the outlying stations. But people stood in line, conversed with each other, moved a little bit and then stood and talked some more. I know that there is no way that all of those folks made it to the event on time and I am certain that quite a few did not make it at all but they never complained.

It was great being around so many like minded people who were interested in God and Country. People who came a long way to show support and to ensure the honor of this nation was restored. People who never got angry, who waited in lines patiently, who offered food and drink to strangers, people who helped others who needed it. These were the people who attended the rally and they came in many shapes, sizes, sexes, and colors. Yes, there were people of color there, as if that should matter. I am willing to bet that there were more people of color at this event than the one Al Sharpton put on.

I hate to mention the color aspect of it because it should not matter. No one questions a rally Sharpton holds when it has a nearly all black audience. No one questions any event that contains any minority in numbers well above the representation within the general population but let a rally consist of mostly white people and there is a racist element assigned to the crowd. Forget the fact that nearly 80% of the population is white because that does not matter. Forget the fact that there were a lot of non white people at this event because that does not matter. The only thing that matters is how quickly the MSM and the left (but I repeat myself) can scream about how angry and racist these people are.

Would it really matter if every single person in attendance was white? In other words, is it too much to ask that the crowd of people be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin?

It is a shame that the liberal talking heads painted this group as a bunch of angry white people who cannot get over a black man running the country. It is a shame because the so called angry people at this event, which was at least a half a million strong, registered NOT ONE SINGLE ARREST. The police reported NO trouble from any of them. The people at this rally were good people who do good things.

The Mall was clean when they left. People brought their own trash bags to clean up and they gave them to people who needed them. People policed up after themselves and then made sure that any stray garbage was collected and thrown away. The trash was neatly piled around the trash cans around the area. Late Saturday afternoon as the last people were leaving no one could tell that 500,000 people had occupied the area only hours earlier. Contrast this with any rally held by liberal groups and the difference is like night and day. The government is still paying the bills for the clean up of DC after the Obama coronation. The people who attended that left a mess, They soiled the Nation’s Capitol because they have no respect and they have been brought up to believe government will care for you. Don’t worry about the garbage, some gubmint employee will pick up after you.

Glenn Beck had several callers to his radio show who told stories of things that happened to them. One black woman who is sight impaired and has trouble with mobility came from out of town. She had a scooter to get around on but was having trouble. A white family helped her find the elevator to get to the train platform, helped her on the train and stayed with her throughout the entire event to make sure she was OK. This help came from a family of complete strangers and people the media wants you to believe are racists.

Then there was a call from a woman who said that when she and her husband had made their way to the area on the left of the Monument her husband asked her if his wallet was in her purse. She said that it was not. She said she only had two dollars on her and that is all they had to get around on. A man overheard her and asked if the husband’s wallet had been lost. When they told him of their situation he handed her some rolled up money and told her to take it. They both said they could not but were reassured by the man that he was doing OK and wanted them to have it. When they unrolled the money it was four $100 bills. They were very happy and hugged the man who helped them out.

Later that day the husband was called by the police. Someone found his wallet and turned it in. When he collected it all of his money, credit cards and other items were still in the wallet.

These are but a few of the stories that came out of the event. Genuine people doing the right thing. Unfortunately, none of this will matter to those who like to paint any opposition as racist and angry. But who is really angry in all of this. While painting the conservatives as angry liberals come off with some of the most vile and anger filled rants one can imagine. Actor John Cusak Tweeted:

“I AM FOR A SATANIC DEATH CULT CENTER AT FOX NEWS HQ AND OUTSIDE THE OFFICES ORDICK ARMEYAND NEWT GINGRICH-and all the GOP WELFARE FREAKS” FOX

Ed Schultz of PMSNBC described all the violent things he would like to do to those who attended the rally, those at FOX and the people who are opposed to the Obama agenda. He also called the rally participants old, white racists. Schultz is the one with anger management problems.

And though it does not relate to this event, how about Director James Cameron and his desire to call global warming deniers out in the street at high noon and shoot them? Seems to me the anger on the left is widespread.

And has there ever been a time when Keith Olbermann is not angry?

These are the people with anger management problems.

Fortunately, the people who showed up for the Restoring Honor Rally are not like that and the fact they are not is driving the left nuts. They all had their talking points and their reports were all the same but they can’t get over the fact that no one was arrested and that people were peaceful. They can’t get over the fact that they left the place cleaner than when they got there.

The world saw that the people opposed to big government and who want our honor restored are not at all like they are painted each and every day by the media. The picture on the screen and the actions of those involved cast even more doubt on the integrity of the Lame Stream Media.

As Glenn Beck stated on his TV show; “You (those attending) won.”

As for angry old white people, does the person at the top of this post look old, angry or white? Does she look like she cares about color (wouldn’t we all be better off if we did not care about it as well)?

And isn’t she one of the most adorable children you have ever seen? She is one of the faces of America. She is our future and she deserves much better than what we are passing on.

Title:Public Education At The Sharpton Rally

Amercan Dream

Al Sharpton is still smarting from the humiliation he suffered this weekend. This racist pathological liar smeared Glenn Beck and the people who attended the Restoring Honor Rally as a bunch of racists.

The Sharpton morons had a picture of MLK and Glenn Beck with the word Dream pointing at MLK and the word Nightmare pointing at Beck. The nightmare was the for Sharpton who had to realize his mojo is no longer any good. Sharpton is decidedly bitter because of his inability to rally the troops while Beck gathered over half a million people to the mall, people who were peaceful and non violent. There were probably more people of color at the Restoring Honor Rally than at the Sharpton take back the dream rally (or whatever this moron called it).

Sharpton was supported by a mostly black crowd and labor union members who carried signs like the one pictured in this post. Take a look at it and see if you can find the problem.

These folks are a product of the public school system. I have no doubt that there were plenty of people at the Beck event who can’t spell but I bet they would have checked the work before taking it out in public.

Then again, maybe this is not so surprising. After all, it is union work…

Title:More Troubling Information About Eddie Bernice Johnson
Posted On:August 31, 2010, 20:37 PM
Listing DetailCopyright © 2010 Big Dog. Visit the original article at http://www.onebigdog.net/more-troubling-information-about-eddie-bernice-johnson/.

Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson of Texas has been caught doling out scholarships to her family members and to the children of one of her aides. She did this in violation of the rules governing the scholarships which are paid for through the Congressional Black Caucus. Among the rules are specific prohibitions on awarding scholarships to family members and to people related to anyone associated with the scholarship program. Those awarded must live or study in the district of the member of Congress or in a district of another member of the CBC. I assume white children are eligible though I wonder how many actually get the awards. I also wonder how it would be received if there was a scholarship program that was open only to people in the districts of Tea Party Caucus members…

Anyway, Johnson is in hot water. In my opinion she should be prosecuted and she should be investigated by the Ethics Committee. Her responses to the discovery of her illegal activities have been underwhelming and have highlighted her arrogance. Johnson has stated that names came across her desk and that she was not directly involved and all kinds of things but then we see this statement and wonder what planet she is on:

Last week, Johnson initially defended her scholarship choices, then acknowledged violating the scholarship rules, though she said she did so “unknowingly.” She also said that all qualified applicants have gotten a share of scholarship funds each year, and that she might not have picked relatives had there been more qualified applicants. Dallas News

How could she have violated the rules unknowingly when the rules say that no family member is eligible? She had to know that the people involved were related to her because they were her grandsons. In addition, she admitted that she knew in her last sentence. She said she would not have awarded the scholarships to family members if there had been more qualified candidates. Therefore, she knew they were her family.

Also, and here is where she shows her true stupidity, her family members were NOT qualified. Therefore, any other applicant (who met the standards) was MORE qualified. She does not seem to understand this little piece of logic so let us spell it out one more time. Her family members were NOT qualified so all other applicants (who met the standards) were MORE qualified and her argument is only a fabrication to cover her rear end.

If she claims ignorance then not only should she be prosecuted for the scholarship fraud, she should also be removed from office for gross incompetence.

Johnson says she will pay back the money for the scholarships by the end of the week. I am unsure which ones she means but if she is going to pay for all of them it will cost quite a bit of money.

I would also like to point out that the application for the scholarship asks applicants if they are related to anyone associated with the program. The people who investigate this might want to look at the applications and see how those questions were addressed. There might be fraud coming from more than one direction.

Maybe they can all get a family cell at the iron bar hotel…
