Hello!
I am a military wife and teacher in NJ. My class is beginning an activity to discover the world with a global persepctive! We need a few postcards from anywhere in the world if you are interested in helping. Our class letter is below! Thanks so much!
We are a third grade class from Galloway, New Jersey. We are
studying about the United States of America. We are learning all about your
state! We wanted to know if you could please help us to complete a special
project that we are working on. Could you please send us a postcard from your
state so we can learn interesting facts about where you live? Once we receive
it, we will add your postcard to our Postcards Across America Project Map. We
have a huge map of the USA displayed in our school hallway. As we receive
postcards we place them on the map and then we look up interesting facts
about that state. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
Here are some facts about our city and state. Galloway, New Jersey is a
small town near the Atlantic coast. For fun, we like to go surfing, fishing,
visit amusement parks on the boardwalks, and swim. Galloway is located ten
miles from Atlantic City, New Jersey. Our state nickname is the Garden State;
we have a lot of farms in NJ. The Capital of NJ is Trenton. The State Flower
is the Purple Violet, the State Bird is the Eastern Goldfinch, and our State
Animal is the horse. We even have a State Dinosaur which is the Hadrosaurus!
The New Jersey State Motto is Liberty and Prosperity.

to complete our project!

That's a great idea for the kids to get involved in global post card mailing. I will send you a postcard from the Czech republic when I will be in Europe in January. Good Luck.
